01What you are funding
You are funding the protection of hectares of Amazon rainforest. You are not buying land, and you are not buying a share of one.
The PSA agreements with the landowners are signed. The areas under contract carry an anti-deforestation clause that is in force today. Your hectares are counted against those contracted areas as a whole — see 03 for what that does and does not mean.
Price, quantity and billing
You choose how many hectares. The price is per hectare and multiplies by the quantity in both plans.
Annual — N × USD 220, paid once, now. A single payment covering twelve months of protection. Nothing recurring. Example: 5 hectares = USD 1,100, charged once.
Monthly — N × USD 22, charged every month, starting today, until you cancel. This is a recurring charge and it does not stop after twelve months. Example: 5 hectares = USD 110 every month, or USD 1,320 over twelve months — more than the USD 1,100 of the annual plan, which is the discounted way to pay.
VAT is included in the price shown. Nothing is added at checkout.
Your card statement will say “AW Hope”. Your contract is with HopeAmazon Consultoria em Sustentabilidade S.A., the Brazilian parent company in Porto Velho. Payments are collected in US dollars by AW Hope LLC (USA), acting on its behalf as the payment processing entity. Same service, one counterparty — the detail is in the Terms.
02What you receive today
These are live and delivered the moment your first payment clears:
- A named protection certificate. A record in our database in your name, with a unique number, the date, how many hectares you sustain and the contracted areas they are counted against.
- Access to your dashboard, where you can see your subscription status, your next billing date, the date your protection currently runs until, and your certificate.
- Updates by email about the reserves under the programme and the progress of the work.
03What will never exist
We would rather lose a subscriber than mislead one. Neither of the two below will ever exist — they are not how the model works:
- Allocation of a specific plot to you. Your hectares are counted against the pool of contracted areas as a whole — they are not an individually mapped 100×100 m plot with coordinates, and we do not represent them as one.
- Satellite imagery of your own area. The monthly radar reading exists and is clipped to each contracted area's polygon · never to an area allocated to you, because no area is allocated to you individually.
The monthly report, and when yours arrives
The report is produced in Portuguese and English over the contracted areas · collective, with one individual line for you. Delivery is built and tested end to end.
None has gone out yet, for one reason: there is no subscriber to receive it. Yours goes out at the first monthly close after you subscribe, and is included in the subscription at no extra cost for as long as it is active.
04What this is not
A subscription does not give you, and is never represented as giving you:
- ownership, possession or any real right over land;
- a carbon credit, an offset, or any tradable environmental asset;
- a financial investment, a security, or any expectation of financial return;
- a token, a crypto-asset, or anything that can be traded.
The certificate is a record of the service you are funding. It has no market value and cannot be resold.
About a public record of the certificate
Today the certificate exists only in our database. There is no public registry, nothing is written to a blockchain, and you cannot verify your certificate anywhere except by signing in.
We intend to publish a public verifiable record of certificate integrity — a way for anyone to confirm that a certificate was issued, when, and for how many hectares, without taking our word for it. It does not exist yet and we are not attaching a date to it.
When it does exist, it will change where the record is readable and nothing else. It will still have no market value, still be impossible to resell or transfer, and still confer no ownership, no environmental credit and no financial return. A record you can check is not an asset you can trade, and we will not describe it as one.
05Cancelling and refunds
Cancel whenever you want
The monthly plan is cancelled from your dashboard, in one click. Billing stops at the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
The annual plan is a single payment covering twelve months of protection. It does not renew on its own.
Beyond that, your statutory rights apply in full: if you are a consumer in Brazil you have 7 days to withdraw (art. 49 of the Consumer Code), and if you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The detail, including the model withdrawal form, is in the Terms.
